Booking & Confirmation

• All bookings require a non-refundable deposit (usually 30–50%) to secure your spot and permits.
• Full payment must be completed at least 15 days before the tour start date.
• Reservations are subject to availability, especially for permits to Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail.

Included in Your Tour

Our hike expeditions generally include:

• Bilingual licensed tour guide
• Equipment or accommodation (if applicable)
• Meals, snacks, and filtered water
• Transportation (trains, buses, private transfers)
• Entrance fees and permits (e.g., Machu Picchu, Salkantay Pass, etc.)
• Porters or horses depending on the route

Please check your specific itinerary for a detailed list of inclusions.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance may be eligible for a partial refund.
• Cancellations within 15–30 days: 50% refund of total payment.
• Less than 15 days: no refund, due to permit and logistics restrictions.
• Permits for the Inca Trail and entrance to Machu Picchu are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Changes & Modifications

• Changes to dates or tour options are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
• Hike expeditions reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to weather, safety, government regulations, or unforeseen events.

Fitness & Health Requirements

• Participants must be in good physical condition and disclose any medical conditions prior to booking.
• Acclimatization in Cusco (minimum 2 days) is highly recommended before starting any trek.
• Some treks reach altitudes above 4,500 meters; consult your doctor if unsure.

Responsibility

• We are not responsible for injuries, illness, loss of personal belongings, or delays caused by weather, strikes, or third parties.
• Travelers must have valid travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, and cancellations.

Use of Images

By joining a hike, you grant Hike expeditions permission to use photos or videos taken during the expedition for promotional purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing.

Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Peru, with any legal matters subject to resolution in the city of Cusco.
