Day 1: The adventure begins at Kilometer 104 and ends at the campsite in Puente Ruinas.

The journey begins early. The day starts with pickup at your hotel in Cusco, followed by a private vehicle ride to the Ollantaytambo train station. There, we board the train that takes us to the famous kilometer 104, the starting point of the trek.

As soon as we got off the train, we headed to Chachabamba, an archaeological site that marked the start of our hike. This first section to Wiñaywayna is one of the most beautiful parts of the route: surrounded by lush vegetation and panoramic views of the Urubamba River. The hike to Wiñaywayna took about 3.5 hours, with breaks to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

Upon arriving at Wiñaywayna, we will be amazed. The agricultural terraces, ceremonial fountains, and impressive architecture will leave us speechless. In addition, we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the chef, which will be perfect for recharging our batteries.

After exploring the site, we resumed our hike to Intipunku, the famous Sun Gate. Arriving there is one of the most exciting moments: the first view of Machu Picchu from that point is simply unforgettable.

After taking in the scenery, we will descend to the citadel of Machu Picchu to capture the classic panoramic photo, even though the formal visit was scheduled for the following day.

Finally, we continued our hike to our campsite in Puente Inca. Once there, we enjoyed a hot dinner while sharing stories from the day, surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains.

Day 2: Sunrise at Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco

On the second day, we started before dawn. We had breakfast at the camp and got ready to board the bus that would take us back to Machu Picchu.

Once at the citadel, we begin the guided tour, visiting the main structures of the site, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Main Square, and the agricultural terraces. Every corner of Machu Picchu holds a mystery and a fascinating story.

After the tour, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will have free time for lunch. We will take the opportunity to try some delicious ceviche and ají de gallina, perfect for recharging our batteries.

Finally, in the afternoon, we boarded the train back to Ollantaytambo, where they would be waiting to take us back to Cusco. The return trip was peaceful, with the satisfaction of having completed an unforgettable adventure.
